Like most families, COVID-19 was a seminal experience for us. One of the many outcomes it yielded was a desire to make our home even more of a special place. We had always wanted to build “the backyard of our dreams,” but consistently put it off due to one factor or another. I guess we just needed an extra nudge, so when we suddenly found ourselves at home more than ever before during the pandemic, we decided to finally go down the path of creating our own little backyard resort. The process, ranging from layout of desired items, material selection, landscaping selection, even contractor selection was one that not only taught us a lot but more importantly, ignited a passion we didn’t even know we had for designing and creating fun, relaxed, and enduring atmospheres for other families as well.
